Although Hilton Waikoloa Village is the perfect place to get away from it all, we understand that some of our guests still require an electronic link to the rest of the world. We are glad to present high-speed (broadband) Internet service. Details of the price and location are shown below:
Convention Center
The network infrastucture includes enterprise-class switches, routers and backbone.
Both wired Ethernet and wireless 802.11b and 802.11g are available to our entire convention center. Service is provided through a 45Mbps full-duplex T3 circuit from AT&T (the fastest Internet connection available at any hotel in Hawaii, 30 times a standard T1 high-speed connection) and optionally a 10Mbps full-duplex cable circuit from Time Warner Cable for redundancy. Guest Rooms and Suites - Wired Access
This service is a high-speed, broadband DSL connection in each room
and suite. To connect, your computer requires an available Local Area
Network (RJ-45 Ethernet) jack.
To use this service, connect the network cable located on the desk to your computer. Turn on your computer. Once at your desktop, open your browser (like Internet Explorer). You will see a connect screen followed by a login screen.
Two types of service are available: standard private access and public access. Private access will work for most users and is well-suited for checking email, browsing websites, listening to and viewing multimedia. Private access is more secure than public access. Public access is recommended if you connect to a company Virtual Private Network (VPN) or use another application that requires a public IP address. Select the service that is right for you then click on the button that says Sign-Up. You may pay by either credit card or room charge.
You will be asked for a unique username and password.
Pool Areas and Malolo Lounge - Wireless Access
This service is connected to the guest room service. However,
the connection is wireless using 802.11b Wi-Fi. To connect, your computer
requires a standard 802.11b or 802.11g wireless network card and the ability
to select and connect to a wireless network.
