The first edition, Thirty Three Chefs, commemorated the tenth year of Dolphin Days, and the custom continues with this second edition, designed to recognize the award-winning chefs who take the freshest of Big Island ingredients and create culinary magic at Dolphin Days, four-day festival held every year in June. The events of Dolphin Days, as well as proceeds from this book, benefit two local charities: the Hawaii Shriners Hospital for Children and the Pacific Marine Life Foundation.
