This delicious food tour begins at the Waimea Farmer's Market where guides will select seasonal produce for tasting. Next, they stray from the popular haunts to explore the behind-the-scenes of small farms. Meet with farmers, tour the tea fields, and learn about the growing of different produce. The tour concludes with a three-course meal and glass of wine at Pueo's Osteria.

Visit the macadamia nut factory

Nut lovers should definitely consider the trip to Mauna Loa on the east side of the island. For over 30 years, the corporation has produced golden roasted macadamia nuts for locals and visitors respectively. The factory and visitor center welcome you to try samples, view chocolate demonstrations, and check out the nut and chocolate processing plant. You can purchase island gifts and treats including exclusive Mauna Loa products only available on-site.

Opening times: Daily from 8:30 am - 5 pm. Factory closed on weekends and holidays.

Without even having to leave Waikoloa Village, take your tastebuds on a culinary adventure with our range of offerings fresh from the Pacific. Our sharing towers are the perfect way to sample Hawaiian seafood such as Keahole lobster, tiger prawns, and pacific oysters.

Kuleana Rum Experience

Discover Hawaii's first rum farm, distillery, and restaurant while admiring the beauty of the Kohala Coast. This unique experience offers an authentic journey into Hawaiian farm-to-table culture and is exclusive to tour guests. Learn about the 40 varieties of sugar cane while sampling the juice and noting the subtle changes as it transitions to rum. The tour ends at Kuleana Rum Shack where you can choose from a range of signature rums or cocktails as you indulge in a gourmet island lunch.
